Is there a link between COVID-19 vaccinations and hearing loss?

What is VAERS (Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System)

VAERS is vaccine safety surveillance programn that monitors the safety of FDA (Food and Drug Administration) approved vaccines. Its purpose is to detect unusual or unexpected adverse events patterns and provide an early warning system.

No link between COVID-19 vaccinations and sudden hearing loss

A preliminary analysis conducted by Johns Hopkins University using VAERS shows no link between COVID-19 vaccinations and sudden hearing loss. In fact, the study seems to suggest that the chances of sudden hearing loss occuring after COVID-19 vaccination is lower among those who are vaccinated.
